Two new arts and craft shops have been opened in Wangi - Fig Design, and Kandlit Candles. Fig Design offers handcrafted jewellery, eclectic gifts and artworks by local artists: open Thursday and Friday 9:00am-3:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm. Kandlit Candles features beautiful handmade soy candles, unique glassware in fabulous colours and fragrances as well as other local handcrafts: open Wednesday – Sunday from 9:00am.

Dobell House, home and studio museum of Sir William Dobell is located in Wangi and is open to the public 1:00-4:00pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Mandalong Gallery is famous for its authentic Aboriginal art focus and is open Saturdays and Sundays 9:00am–5:00pm. The Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery is home to local artists and offers many national touring exhibitions.
